July is so close I can smell it. On the personal front  it’s the sweet odor of fresh cut golf courses and BBQs. Onthe business front it’s  new online payment methods, Yahoo’s attempt to make a huge comeback, and services that are disrupting the system – like Uber.

Brainstorming Pays

We recently had an inspiring brainstorming session with one of our biggest clients. The call was initiated by the client and I will admit that I went into the discussion with a feeling that I might be on the defensive a bit.

You know when you’re watching a romantic comedy and the inevitable line comes up, “we have to talk.” It immediately brings up connotations of a break up or perhaps the famous Seinfeld episode where George is appalled that his girlfriend du jour is using his own “it’s not you, it’s me” breakup line on him.

Monday night while I was at dinner, I received a text from my friend Travis Hopkins of DBG Partners. He was reporting from New York City that eAccountable had won the Rakuten LinkShare Golden Link Award for Agency of the Year.

The annual Golden Link Awards is long-standing traditional  part of the Rakuten LinkShare Symposium New York,  where more than 500 people representing leading advertisers, publishers and agencies come together to celebrate excellence and innovation in the performance marketing industry.
