There have been a lot of changes in the industry over the last few weeks – especially around the larger affiliate networks – including acquisitions, name changes, and more.

I, for one, think change is good and usually provides new opportunities for the industry at large. In most of these cases, the changes indicate that more people outside of the performance marketing space are paying closer attention to this growing space. It also underscores the desire of the companies themselves to work to promote continued expansion in the online marketing realm.

I think this might prove to be one of the most exciting holiday shopping season yet for online marketers as mobile commerce is expected to play an even bigger role in their efforts.
