ShareASale ThinkTank 2014 Recap #ThinkTank14

As usual attending ShareASale’s annual ThinkTank conference last week in Charlotte, NC, was a top-notch event.

I had a chance to reconnect with industry peers and our clients as well as meeting a bunch of new great bloggers that are eager to get involved in affiliate marketing.

Sunday I played in the golf tournament then we had a welcome reception full of delicious drinks, carving stations, salad bar and desserts. After dinner, ShareASale Founder and CEO, Brian Littleton showcased some of ShareASale’s newest tools and allowed attendees to take the stage with their elevator speech.

View From the Top: The Importance of Giving Back

I’m a firm believer that it’s the responsibility of every business to give back in some way – whether it’s in support of their local community, a cause they are passionate about, mentoring, or whatever. That is certainly a big part of our corporate philosophy at eAccountable.  I know that many in the affiliate community have done great work for charities, communities, coming together in times of natural disasters, and more. I am proud to be part of such a generous community of online marketers.

Recently, I was introduced to some great folks at EndCrowd, a charitable crowdfunding website. One of their biggest efforts is to help Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) to help raise awareness around the tragic and difficult topic of human trafficking using the online funding model. I’m not going to get preachy on the heinousness of these human trafficking acts or delve into the political or economic implications; I just want to say that I feel strongly about helping to stop this type of repulsive act against any human.

Over the years as we’ve transitioned from a traditional OPM focused almost entirely on managing affiliate programs to a full-service online marketing digital agencymany startups have sought our help in getting off the ground.

This role with several early-stage startups has put us in a position similar to startup incubators and accelerators.
