This is the time of year to give thanks and show gratitude. I love being in the holiday spirit and taking time to reflect on all that I am thankful for. Right at this moment I am especially thankful that I am spending much of my Thanksgiving on the slopes and with family and good friends.

And while I am reveling in this moment, I am also looking a bit ahead. I recently realized that in January 2015, our company will have its 15thAnniversary.  I am proud of what I’ve built and how much the company has grown since its inception way back 2000.  I am also awestruck at how quickly time passes.

View From the Top: Entreprenuerial Lessons

I was recently asked to speak to a class of entrepreneurs at my alma mater The University of Missouri. I was thrilled to head back to Mizzou (at Columbia) to share my decades-long knowledge with the budding entrepreneurs about online marketing.

I was a great experience for me to see so many young people filled with ideas and the entrepreneurial bug. I also love that Mizzou is among those college and universities recognizing how important it is to nurture and teach those that want to start their own businesses. This seems to be a growing trend in higher-education and one that I whole-heartedly support.

I was thrilled last week to find several studies that underscore what we at eAccountable have known for a long time – coupons and deals play a big role in attracting and converting online holiday shoppers.

Nearly 90 percent of online shoppers will look for coupons and sales online before making a purchase this holiday season, according to a study released last week by affiliate website Offers.com (in conjunction with IPSOS).
