In a time when so much sophisticated marketing automation software is available, I am surprised to learn that fewer organizations than I would have thought are taking advantage of the wide-ranging capabilities of this software.

The broad category of marketing automation encompassed software for all kinds of crucial marketing activities – managing vast amounts of customer data, execute and track marketing campaigns, perform lead generation and mange relationships with those leads and contacts, reporting and analytics tools to measure the performance of campaign initiatives and more.

View From the Top: Reviews Crucial in Purchase Decisions

Reviews are an important part of consumer purchase decisions and advertisers need a put in place a strategy to deal with them – including linking to reviews, allowing product reviews on their site (both positive and negative) and monitoring review online.

Earlier this week Mintel released its report, American Lifestyles 2015, stating that 69 percent of connected Americans seek out advice and opinions on goods and services before purchasing – with 70 percent of those visiting a user or independent review site before making a purchase and 57 percent using social media networks for recommendations.
