View From the Top: Mobile Shopping Growth

view_from_the_topA recent report shows that when it comes to online shopping smartphone usage is on the rise, while purchases made on tablets are starting to fade a bit.

Smartphones now account for 60 percent of all mobile transactions in the U.S., up from 52 percent just a year ago, according to the State of Mobile Commerce by Criteo.

This is another “closed” system of ecommerce. It’s like a comparison shopping engine with better content. Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest are going to go this way too and will be competing with Amazon and eBay.
